Guide last updated: Updated for patch 2.4

Warcraft Ultimate is, for the time being, a unique guide focusing on helping you build the ultimate WoW character. (This guide is not to be confused with "The Ultimate WoW Guide")
The guide itself is a 318 page PDF file broken down into 10 chapters, one for "Races and their small differences" and one for each of the nine classes. So, you could say this guide is a collection of class guides.
Even though you might get the impression that this is as much a PvP guide as a PvE guide, the fact of the matter is that this guide is mainly focused on raiding and PvE from a level 70’s point of view.
If you want to build the ultimate raiding character your class is capable of being, it’s largely about making the right choices in areas such as talents, gems, enchants, consumables and abilities (gameplay). The synergistic effect of maximizing those areas will quickly earn you a reputation as a player who "gets it", which will open doors to any end-game instance you want. You’ll be admired and valued and people will ask you for advice.
Realize that the best players have superior knowledge of their class. The concepts in this guide are often quite advanced, but if you don’t take the time learn what you should be doing (and why) to build the ultimate character, then you might as well go back to being average. Once you know what to do, though, you’re golden. That’s what this guide is about.
I think it pretty much delivers on its promises (except the pvp part which is lacking). However, some classes receive more attention than others. For example, the chapter on the mage is only 8 pages long, while the shaman receives 59 pages of tips (I still learned a lot from the mage chapter though). Another issue was with the links, which didn’t work. I was able to locate the info by googling for it, but it was a bit of a hassle sometimes.
Something this guide is NOT is a one-size-fits-all guide to the classes. A very gear dependent class might receive lots of tips on gear, enchants and gems, while other classes get more gameplay tips and talent suggestions.
If you’re level 70 and you want to be one of the best in PvE (say, a class leader or high-end raiding guild member), this guide is for you. I was quite impressed with the level of knowledge the 12 authors demonstrate throughout. I’ve seen other guides which attempted to be like this one, but they were far too basic and thus useless to the hardcore player.
Additionally, the more level 70s you have the more valuable this guide is. Free updates will be included for future patches and expansions as well.
