Spugnort’s Instance & Raiding Guide is the fifth WoW guide (and currently the latest) made by Spugnort’s World, and is not to be confused with Spugnort’s Outland Instance Keying & Reputation Guide.

First I gotta tell you that I’m not a raider. I’ve done all the 5 man instances though, but my raiding experience is very limited so I can’t really evaluate most of those proposed tactics.  But I can tell you that I’ve reviewed all Spugnort’s WoW guides and I know they always make professional quality guides, so I would trust the info in this guide as well.

The entire focus of the guide is on the Outland instances. You will not find anything on Azerothian instances here. It covers all 5 man instances on heroic and normal difficulty, as well as 10 man instances and 25 man raids. Even the Sunwell Plateau and Magister’s Terrace are covered.

The way the guide is structured is a walkthrough of each boss inside every instance, its abilities and tactics on normal and heroic difficulty, a video of the fight and links to normal and heroic drops. There is rarely any advice on the rest of the instances, such as trash pulls. The focus is on the scripted events, i.e. bosses etc.

Once you get into the 10 and 25 man instances there are more maps with dots showing how to position your raid. But often there’s no explanation what the various colors mean so you’re left guessing… It gets much better in the 25 man instances where everything is made much clearer. The 25 man sections also have more info on recommended group composition.

When it comes to the latest raid instance, the Sunwell Plateau, there are still no tactics (as of this writing) for Felmyst, Eredar Twins, Mu’ru or Kil’jaeden, but they say they are working on those tactics. The videos are already up, though, but a video doesn’t explain everything like a written walkthrough.

I think this can be a great guide for some people. For example, I always like reading up on instances the first few times I do them so I know what to expect. And if you’re new to the end-game it might be hard to get into a good guild without any experience. But reading this guide and watching the videos is as close to real experience as you can get. If you’re a guild leader or assigned raid leader then having all the necessary info right at your finger tips is obviously very convenient.

Also, some classes have a greater responsibility to know what they are doing, for example tanks and healers. So knowing all the tactics might save your group from a few wipes and ultimately you will be regarded as a better player, get more friends and invites to instance runs and be more appreciated.

Keep in mind I’m not the most experienced player when it comes to instances, but to me this guide looks good. They offer a 30 day money back guarantee if you don’t agree.
