Penn’s Alliance Leveling Guide is a quest-based solo guide for alliance players who want to reach level 80 fast.

Penn is the name of a draenei hunter played by the author of this guide. He was first to level 70 as a draenei hunter on a new server, which is pretty impressive. It shows he knows what he’s talking about when it comes to speed leveling.

He has put together this detailed alliance leveling guide that shows you every step from level 1 to 80, starting anywhere -- including the Death Knight starting zone.

The guide is now available as an in-game addon and a PDF (both included). The in-game addon displays what to do and where to go inside the game, and the PDF has maps and links to quests, and can be printed. Free updates for life are included, and the entire 70-80 update was free and available in time for the release of the expansion.

I do think this is a good guide. However, it has its weaknesses. As I understand it, the addon is not developed by Penn’s World, so what happens if the author stops developing it? I also found the addon window inferior to some other in-game leveling guides. You have to hover your mouse over the addon to see the instructions.

When I tried it, there was also some grinding to finish up levels on the 1-60 part. Do I have to say that I dislike grinding?

Therefore, I give this guide 7/10.
