About me
My name is Martin M. and I’m a WoW player just like you. I’ve been running
this site since August 2006.
I’ve had great help from the guides I’ve collected and reviewed on this site.
When I started looking for WoW guides, what I found was frightening:
-
Outdated information being sold as the latest "secrets"
-
Thinly disguised content from Blizzard’s websites parading as
little-known insider tactics and...
-
Review websites apparently not having reviewed the guides at all - but still
making recommendations.
I even found a review website put up by a guide author giving his own
product the highest recommendation! Sneaky, and you wouldn’t know it if you didn’t do the research that I
did.
So I figured the WoW community needed a site with honest recommendations of
World of Warcraft guides.
I have been featured on Briankopp.com, Zygorguides.com and
Ultimatewowguide.com for trying their guides and writing about them.
Way back in 2006 I believe I was the one to pioneer in-game leveling guides,
by placing notes of important locations on the world map using an addon. The locations were taken from PDF leveling
guides, so the guide then became semi in-game. That was a tremendous help back then. Of course, better solutions
came along. But I think I've had a small hand in improving the WoW guides as we know them.
Personally, I don’t play for the latest and greatest gear. I don’t have time
to. Instead, I try to do new things in WoW that I’ve never done before, which keeps it fresh and fun, like play a
new class, test new talents, learn new ways to make gold and so on.
Thanks for visiting my site.
Martin
