If you’re trying for a really low /played time by the time you reach 60 or 70, there’s really one thing you must know at all times: What you’re going to do next.

I did 2 things that helped immensely with that:

1. I read ahead. Before a session, just read a few pages of the guide so you know what quests are coming up and if you have to check something on thottbot. Really simple. To be honest, I didn’t do this too much in Outlands but I logged out or grinded while I checked things on thottbot, which was rarely necessary since almost everything is explained in the guide.
2. I plotted every single coordinate in the guide (almost 1100) with a map mod and used a navigation system to guide me there. I got tired of looking them up on the map and not remembering where to run. It was a headache. Anyone could have mapped the coordinates, but I think I’m the first one to do so. That way I knew exactly where I was going next all the time, and had an in-game "GPS system" to show me the way.

Since then I shared this system with Brian and he’s made it available to all his customers free of charge. I did the 60-70 coordinates and the Draenei starting zones as well and it’s all included in the guide now.

How important was this navigation system for me?

It was critical. I simply could not have done 1-70 in under 9 days /played without it. And yet, I didn’t start using it until level 15 or so (and it was very primitive then), but YOU can use it from level 1 because I went back and did all the starting zones, too. I probably saved 10-20 hours, conservatively speaking, with that alone and it made the guide so much more enjoyable. I’m happy it’s available to everyone now.

His guide just got that much better. I’d give it 11 stars if I could. As long as you know the basic game mechanics, you can now get to 60 faster than Joana did on some servers, and get to 70 extremely fast, too.
