Testing Joana’s 1-70 Horde Leveling Guide
Monday,March 5th, 2007
I’m finally getting around to it. Doing a run with Joana’s Horde Leveling Guide, that is.
I’ll be doing it as a blood elf hunter, a class I now have some experience with. I’ve spent a little bit of time preparing for the run by scouting out ammo vendors in all the major Horde-controlled cities.
I’ve also mapped out all the coordinates in the guide with meta map, so I now have the same navigation system I used with Brian Kopp’s 1-70 Alliance Leveling Guide. (I can’t make any promises because it’s not my guide, but hopefully it will be available with Joana’s guide too, soon.)
Other than that, I’m creating the character on a PvP server where I already have a lvl 60, but I won’t give any gold, items, boosts or anything else to the new blood elf. I will also try not to build up any rested XP by logging out in the wilderness and playing every day.
The name I came up with, Vanity, is actually just another word for Pride which is one of the seven deadly sins, and considered "the original and most serious of The Seven Deadly Sins, and indeed the ultimate source from which the others arise." (Did you know, by the way, that one of them, namely envy, is called Invidia in latin…? Bet you didn’t know where graphic card manufacturer Nvidia’s name comes from until now, did ya?)
By the way, if you’re speed running here’s a tip for you. Copy the file "bindings-cache.wtf" from a character you have already set up with your preferred key bindings to the new character and it will all be set up for you. You’ll find these files in your "World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\Account Name\Server\Character name" folders.
More later.

Hi Lodiah,
I have sent the .lua file (that contains all the coordinates) to Joana and I know he has it. You may be able to weasel it out of him. He said he would make it available to everyone as soon as possible, and I don’t see why he wouldn’t email you the coordinates if you purchased the guide. After all, anyone who has the guide can map out the coordinates… having the .lua file just saves many hours. (There are almost 900 unique coordinates in the guide.)
Try contacting him about this. Good luck.
Martin
PS. If he doesn’t send them to you, contact me again and I’ll see if I can get them to you.
