150-200+ gold per hour farming
Monday,February 5th, 2007
I decided to do a little grinding now that I’m level 70 and, not knowing where to go, I referenced the Cash Creating Guide. I picked one location from the Burning Crusade part, flew there (it’s only accessible with flying mount), set my timer for one hour and started grinding.
Here’s what I ended up with:
Gray items worth 16 g
1 green item supposedly worth 30 g
53 white items (those are the primary ones you are farming for here) worth 53 * 3 = 159 gold.
Total earnings: 205 g
The mobs were somewhat limited, but there were other almost-as-good areas close by. When I did this I happened to be alone so I never ran out of mobs.
Now, as always, it remains to be seen if I really get 205 g from selling all this, but conservatively speaking I should end up with 150+.
This spot doesn’t require any professions. But you need to be level 70 so you can fly there (druids can go there at 68 but 70 is still recommended). It seems the Cash Creating Guide delivers great gold making tips even for the Burning Crusade.

So far I have banked 162 gold from this. That’s after AH fees, and it shows that these items sell extremely well too. Not bad for one hour of work.

Well, there will almost always be ONE tip that’s better than the other ones, but which tip that is could differ between servers.
It also depends on your professions, your level, and what other people are doing.
Bottom line: it’s good to have plenty of different tips and strategies so you can find some that fit your class, level and preferences.
