Accused of being a farmbot

This 59 hunter came up to me on the boat to Theramore today and accused my hunter, Idkfa, of being a farmbot. lol.
Well, I guess he had reason to since my toon:
- Is a hunter (like most farmbots)
- Has a nonsensical name (Idkfa. Guess he isn’t old enough to know it’s a Doom2 cheat code. The name, btw, violates Blizzard’s naming policy. I’m such a rebel…)
- Has green gear (I tried explaining it was because I reached 60 in less than 6 days)
- Is guildless (What can I say? I don’t have time to be active in a guild on that character)
And I was just on my way to farming for my epic mount, too. It’s all circumstantial anyway, but quite funny.

Did this guy even bother trying to /w you and see if you would answer him back?
I saw a bot in HIllbstrad, on the river farmning turtles. Not looting, skinning; nothing, just killing turtles. As a rogue, he was very efficient. Wouldn’t answer my questions. Reported?

Yes I answered him trying to explain, but he said I was just on my way to a farming location to set my bot.
After that incident I just started saying “Please report me to a GM then so I can have a laugh” whenever someone accused me of botting. Guess no one did report me.

whats so wrong with botting? do u people honestly just run around looking for people botting? your like the bot hunters of WoW, that makes you proud? why dont you all stop whining like little girls and play the game. i mean really. your so busy worrying about these botters that your paying for attention to them than the game it self.

LOL I had thought about trying out WoW and taking a break from another mmorpg I play. Thank for all the posts I have read here cause now I think everyone that plays this game is either a little kid or a bot so Ill pass :D cheers

#4 what is wrong with botting?
it ruines the game for all other people! they flood the AH with stuff on prices you cant compete with, they are at spots killing mobs that you as a real player would want to kill to make gold, plus it is not really playing the game is it?
would you mind it when you play counter-strike for example and you play against someone using a aimbot? would that also not bother you?
ofcourse it will, because thats also not playing if some program is doing the aiming for you, its no fun to play a game against cheaters!

Theres nothing wrong with botting. People who bot pay for the game like everyone else.
Let them play the game how they want and leave them alone. Most of them who bot are just tring to lvl their alts anyway so who cares?

i dont hitnk anyone should bot the game, but dont waste ur game time looking for botters. if u seriously belive someone is a botter report him/her and get on with playing. dont let someone else ruin ur gaming experience
