Reaching 30 with Brian Kopp’s Alliance Leveling Guide
Friday,December 1st, 2006
Heya,
Today I hit level 30 with my alliance hunter Idkfa. It took me 36 hours. I don’t know if that’s fast or slow, but it feels like I’m leveling up quickly.
I try to streamline everything as much as possible, but today I allowed myself some time to auction various loot I have found on my adventures. Cash is always needed for skills and repairs, but I don’t think I will afford the mount when I hit 40.
Most quests have been quite easy to complete so far, except Supplies to Auberdine which I gave up on at level 25. I think I could’ve completed it with a potion and some practice, but it didn’t seem worthwhile and it was no quest chain so I just skipped it after a few failures. Underwater quests are a pain, too. Luckily, those are few and far between.
I really enjoy using Brian Kopp’s Alliance Leveling Guide. It’s so much easier than grinding (I grinded my last character all the way from level 25 to 60). Even after long hours it feels varied and fresh. The only frustrations I have is when I can’t find quest items on the ground, or run the wrong way to a location. It wastes time. But I guess it’s like that for everyone on the first run. Fortunately, everything is linked to thottbot so I can easily look things up as needed.
So far I’m very impressed with Brian’s guide. It’s amazingly accurate in its descriptions and instructions.
I’ll keep you posted.

When you say it took you 36 hours is that your total playtime or is that actual time (ie. I stated playing this character a day and a half ago)?

That is my total in-game time playing on that character.

I’ve never used any hacks or anything that violates Blizzard’s Terms of Service. Well, maybe the name “Idkfa” is a violation, but that’s it.
I recommend everyone to stay away from hacks and cheats because they get you banned and you certainly don’t need them to level up fast.
