The last few days I’ve been testing an incredibly easy way to make gold in WoW. It’s so simple, and it works because people are either uninformed or lazy - or both. Just by applying this method regularly, any player can make substantial extra gold, with hardly any effort or extra time.

"What is it?", I hear you asking. It’s simply this: Buy certain items from vendors and resell them in the trade channel or at the auction house for HUGE profits.

I’m still amazed at how well this works. I mean, everyone has acccess to these vendors, yet they don’t do it because they don’t have the knowledge.

You can pick up certain items for 15-50 silver and immediately turn them around at the AH for 1.5-5 g or more! You can even undercut the competition. You don’t have to be greedy and squeeze out every last bit of profit, not when you’ve bought it so cheaply. I’ve bought stuff for 2 g and sold it fast for 12 g, over and over again. When you find such an item, you want to stick to it because it’s a proven seller.

I’ve also bought an item for 90 s and sold it for more than 9 g. That’s 1000% profit. And one cost me 15 s and went for 3 g. 2000% profit. Another one: Buy: 40 s / sell: 4.50 g. And on. And on. And on.

Best part: You can do this at any level! Think about how that could change your leveling speed, and how much more fun it would be. You could buy the blue items you’re longing for in the AH, and easily afford your level 40 mount. It’s great for low-level gold, and all the way through the end-game. Heck, I use it now at level 60.

For those of you who like to quest, it’s ideal. As you explore the world, you will have the opportunity to visit all kinds of vendors and virtually steal their inventory and sell it at enormous mark-ups to less informed players. Don’t worry, there’s a constant supply of them, so it will keep working. This is not some sort of short-term exploit that will be nerfed by Blizzard in the next patch.

Whenever I play and go to a new city or area - one where I don’t know all the "special" vendors - I will just pull up the spreadsheet, sort it by the area and city I’m in and voila… I will get an extensive list of NPCs complete with suitable items which they sell.

It’s really one of the easiest ways to make gold in WoW. And it uses the principle of NET; No Extra Time. If you’re questing and exploring and going about your business anyway, why not snatch up these bargains and resell them for healthy profits? The buyers will thank you for it, because they may not know where to find them on their own.

As an added bonus, you will want some of these things for yourself. And then YOU don’t have to be the person that overpays in the AH. This method will actually let you SAVE substantial amounts of gold.

If you want to dedicate some time to this, you can travel across the world and see what "steals" you can find. Once you find a proven winner, you know that you can use it again and again. However, you have to list it in the right way, not too many at a time or people will start to notice and wonder what’s up. I always keep some in the bank and list them when my current auctions sell. You basically want people to think that the item dropped for you.
